Roulette Strategies – Andrucci

Roulette strategies are what make the roulette gameplay entertaining and exciting. There are several types that you can use to increase your chances of winning. One of the most daring ones is the Andrucci system.

Often referred to as the “chaos theory,” Andrucci requires you to do a lot of research and backtracking on previous outcomes in a roulette game. That's why you can either use it on live casino games at online casinos or roulette games at land-based casinos.

The Basics of Andrucci Roulette Betting Strategy

The reason why you can’t use the Andrucci strategy on standard online roulette variants is that it requires you to keep track of previous rounds. Most standard roulette games don’t have this feature. The main idea behind this system is to follow the game for 37 rounds. You take notes of the number that drops in each of those 37 rounds.

In the end, you put all the numbers on a list and see which number appears the most. This is the number on which you should place a straight bet on. A reminder, a straight bet is a bet on which you’re wagering on just one number. That’s the number on which you think the ball will stop.

Your bet amount never changes, it stays the same across all rounds. The math behind the Andrucci strategy states that you’ll eventually guess the right number and as such, make a profit. Every straight bet has a 37:1 payout rate.

You keep wagering during those 37 rounds and you stop when the number on which you bet is shown.

Andrucci Strategy in Practical Use

It indicates that 37 spins should be enough to see a pattern, but we decided to go further with the experiment. We have made an observation of a running roulette game for far more than that number in order to verify whether there really can be a "hot number".

For this purpose, we used an application that automatically traced the statistic from Pragmatic Play live roulette games. It works automatically for any period of time and tallies all the outcomes. In this test, we chose to play "Azure Roulette" and recorded results over a whole 24-hour period.

Results indicate that the numbers 36, 13, 26, 32, and 30 occur more frequently. Of these, 36 is an outlier—it came up 87 times in 2,518 spins. We chose 36 as the basis for our straight bets because of this trend. On to the roulette table. The table on the next page illustrates what happened: we bet on "36" for 76 rounds of play. On the right side of the table, you can follow our bankroll to determine whether we turned a profit.

In over 76 spins, the number 36 came in only twice, which approximates fairly well to the low probability of winning a straight bet. The first occurrence on the 22nd spin might be an exciting event to occur in view of the system's guarantee of a win before the 35th spin; however, we advise caution against overconfidence. As we shall explain, the Andrucci system is strictly based upon unfounded mystical beliefs.

Is the Andrucci Strategy Risky?

Chaos Theory, largely misunderstood in this context, suggests that even in the random results of simple actions like the "Butterfly Effect"—there can be a pattern. Unfortunately, this theory cannot be applied to roulette since probabilities start fresh with each spin. The probability of winning a straight-up bet is always the same: 2.70% in European roulette and 2.63% in American roulette, and no "pattern" can alter this. Because there are no patterns in roulette, none can be found. The Andrucci system resembles the voodoo systems of the 1970s, where gamblers attempted to find physical imperfections in the roulette wheel. Eventually, it makes no mathematical sense, and it is, for all intents and purposes, utter nonsense.

Assuming that chaos theory is valid to any degree, 37 consecutive results would most definitely be a population that is far too small even to start collecting any meaningful statistics. To track any actual hot or cold numbers, hundreds or even thousands of spins would be necessary. Incidentally, most live roulette games already keep such statistics; hence, there is no need to keep a count of the most frequent numbers manually.

Roulette wheels have undergone significant changes since the 1970s. Modern wheels are flawless, uniform, and identical in performance, though what "performance pattern" might mean is unclear. The Andrucci system exemplifies the "gambler's fallacy," which involves mistakenly believing that past outcomes influence future ones—a misconception even seasoned gamblers fall for, often with poor results. There are no hot or cold numbers in roulette, and one cannot predict when a win is due. All systems claiming an assured win in a certain number of spins, say 35, are totally without merit. Unfortunately, the Andrucci system holds no validity, and we strongly recommend not wasting any time on it.

Final Thoughts – Andrucci Isn’t for the Weak

Andrucci is one of the most daring strategies for online roulette. That’s why we say that this system isn’t for the weak ones. High rollers match its description the most. A lot of risk is involved, which is unlike the characteristics of casual players and newbies. The win probability here is low, which is why you’ll have to be patient, even if you’re a high roller. When using it, make sure that you collect as much data as you can.
